Supper Club

As always, an enjoyable time was had by much of the class at the supper club, this time at the Weinard’s.  Sorry Ben didn’t stay in his monkey costume for long; he was acting uncharacteristically shy.  Anyways, I’m looking forward to the next supper club which should be at the Hong’s in November.

 Katie’s dad also did some finishing touches on our playset so we may have people over sometime soon for the kids to give it a christening.  At least it’s finally chilly enough to enjoy being out there without mosquitos.

Class camping trip, Nov. 11th

Right now Matt, Amanda, Mark, Katie, (Ben, and Samuel) are going camping over the 11th of November.  Open invite to the rest of the class!  Post here if you have interest — also post if you need equipment.  Right now we’re thinking Hanging Rock state park — only about 100 miles away.

Next Sunday School Unit — Help brainstorm ideas

The current study of the sacraments, which is going swimmingly, should finish on Nov. 17.  We may then take Nov. 24th off for Thanksgiving — I’ll keep you posted.  So, starting in December, what would you like to study?  Total brainstorming at this point, general or specific, volunteers to lead a unit? etc.

I hope that this will be a good forum to 1) introduce people to our class 2) facilitate discussions about class topics and logistics (what should we study next, etc) 3) social get-togethers (who wants to have lunch after church? Camping, anyone?) and the like.
